Available Joeys:  We no longer have joeys available as we have converted to rescue and rehoming only.  However, from time to time joeys may come in with rescue adults, but we attempt to place them with their families.

For a list of adults available for adoption click here:  http://www.affinitysugargliders.com/page8.html

Please e-mail us at:  contact@affinitysugargliders.com or call (602) 993-0499.  (e-mail is my preferred method of contact and the best way to get a hold of me.  If you call, please leave a message.  We get many phone calls and must handle emergencies first and concentrate on providing information to new sugar glider owners and emergency situations before inquiries.  Please leave a message.  If you have not received a call back in 48 hours, please call again as your message might have been accidentally deleted or the number might have been inaudible.  I am always available in an emergency 24/7).

We do not ship our sugar gliders partially due to extreme weather in Arizona in the Spring and Summer and that of other states during the Winter.  Please do not ask -- we will not ship.

We will not adopt sugar gliders to people who live in states where sugar gliders are illegal.  Here is a list of illegal states:  Alaska, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New York City (city only) and Pennsylvania (without permit).  We do however support legislation to legalize sugar gliders in these states and hope they will be legalized in the near future.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT BEFORE YOU RECIEVE A RESCUE SUGAR GLIDER FROM AFFINITY SUGAR GLIDERS:

Before you receive one of our babies, you will be provided with information on proper care, feeding, health issues, bonding and housing.

You will be required to answer a few questions regarding the environment for the sugar glider -- Where will the cage be kept?  Are there small children in the home?  Are there other pets in the home?  What type of lifestyle?  The answers to these questions won't necessarily preclude you from getting one of our sugar gliders, we will just want to discuss some special issues related to the above.

You may be asked to log onto the Worldwide Sugar Glider Network (WSGN) and be required to post a specified number of times in preparation for your new arrival.

You will be required to show proof of a proper sized cage and supplies.  We do not sell cages and supplies at this time.

You will be required to give show a valid ID and address to prove you live in a legal state.

You may be required to sign an agreement that gives Affinity Sugar Gliders the first opportunity to take back the sugar glider if for any reason you decide it did not work out.  Remember that a sugar glider is at least a 10-12 year commitment.  Please do not take this commitment lightly.

Parents:  If you are looking to purchase a sugar glider for your child, please keep in mind there are on-going expenses to properly care for a sugar glider.  (See "Before you Buy")

You should be prepared to bring a bonding pouch or critter carrier and a soft t-shirt or piece of fleece with you when you are ready to pick up your joey(s).  Allow plenty of time (1-2 hours) with us on the day you pick up your joey.
